Algorithmic bias

Everyone with a smart device that participates in the use of apps for enjoyment, encounters the bias of their ads being littered with things that the computer feel as though those people need to see. Just scrolling through Instagram, the person may not have requested or been interested in the ad they are shown but the algorithm feels it necessary to do so. I think we have all heard of these examples of bias. It most definitely changes a persons views and trusts of the devices that we use.
